Who We Are
We're thrilled to congratulate you on receiving a grant that will make a positive difference in Flint and Genesee County. Your dedication to serving our community is inspiring, and we can't wait to see the impact your project will have.
To help you share exciting news and maximize its reach, we've put together some guidelines and resources for promoting your grant. Whether it's through press releases, social media, or other channels, we're here to support you every step of the way.
Press Releases:
Crafting a press release is a fantastic way to boost the visibility of your project. We've even provided a sample press release to get you started. If you're planning to invite the media to cover your project or event, remember to invite us too. You can share the details with Katelyn Stuck, Communications Officer, at kstuck@cfgf.org.
When mentioning your funding, be sure to refer to it as a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. If applicable, don't forget to acknowledge the fund(s) that made your grant possible. The names of these funds are listed in your grant award letter.
Example: The XYZ project was made possible by a grant from the Franklin D. Adams Fund and the Forest Alter Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.
Social Media:
Let's spread the word about your project far and wide through social media! You can use platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more to share updates and engage with your audience. Don't forget to tag us (@giveflint) on Facebook, Instagram, and X. You can find us on LinkedIn at linkedin.com/company/giveflint.
Below, you'll find sample social media posts to inspire your outreach efforts.
